Herford by the Water – The Werre Picnic!

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, together with Rio Negro, we invite you to the Werre Picnic at the Quentinufer next to the Kiewiese from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Right along the banks of the Werre River, visitors can look forward to a relaxed summer festival for the whole family, featuring plenty of activities both on the water and on land. Admission is free.

In addition to a varied selection of food and drinks, the focus is above all on shared experiences and a true summer atmosphere. With canoeing and stand-up paddling activities provided by Rio Negro, guests can actively experience the Werre from the water. Those who prefer a more relaxed experience are welcome to unwind along the riverbank with their own blanket, a borrowed blanket from H2O, or beer garden table sets available for rent from Rio Negro.

There will also be plenty of entertainment: Splash, the H2O mascot, and Captain Eddy from Rio Negro will be joining the event, alongside a variety of games and relaxation activities for both children and adults.
